Crossmark & Publication Update Policy

1. What is Crossmark?

Crossmark is a multi-publisher initiative from Crossref to provide a standard way for readers to locate the authoritative, published version of a piece of content. By applying the Crossmark logo, PIJCACE commits to maintaining the content it publishes and alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.

Clicking on the Crossmark logo on any PIJCACE article page will tell you the current status of an article (whether it is up to date or whether updates, errata, or retractions have been issued) and may also provide additional publication record metadata.

2. Errata & Corrigenda Policy

Honest errors in published articles will be corrected by issuing a formal Corrigendum (author correction) or Erratum (publisher correction). The original article will remain online with a prominent notice linking directly to the bi-directional correction record.

3. Retraction Guidelines (COPE Protocol)

In rare circumstances of clear evidence of unreliable data, plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical research conduct, articles will be formally retracted following the COPE Retraction Guidelines. The original PDF will be watermarked "RETRACTED" and a formal notice of retraction will be assigned a permanent DOI.
