Jay L. Garfield Commemorative Volume
Dedicated to honoring the philosophical contributions of Prof. Jay L. Garfield. Welcoming critical essays, dialogues, and research papers engaging with Madhyamaka, Buddhist philosophy of mind, cross-cultural hermeneutics, and cognitive philosophy.
1. Article Types & Word Limits
Full-length theoretical, empirical, or archival treatises offering substantial novel insights into creative arts, aesthetics, and cultural expressions.
In-depth analyses of recent scholarly paradigms, historical art exhibitions, philosophical debates, or cross-disciplinary methodologies.
Scholarly evaluations of newly published academic monographs in aesthetics, art history, and cultural heritage.
2. Manuscript Structure & Formatting
- Title Page (Separate File): Complete title, author names, institutional affiliations, corresponding author's email, and ORCID iDs.
- Anonymized Manuscript: Title, Abstract (200–250 words), 4–6 Keywords, Introduction, Main Headings, Conclusion, and References. (Must NOT contain author names).
- Font & Layout: 12pt Times New Roman / Georgia / Source Serif, 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
- Figures & Plates: High-resolution TIFF/JPEG files (minimum 300 DPI) with descriptive captions and permissions.
- File Formats: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX PDF (with source files).
3. Citation System & DOIs
PIJCACE accepts standard Chicago Manual of Style (17th Edition, Author-Date or Notes-Bibliography) and APA (7th Edition). Permanent Crossref DOIs must be provided for all cited references where available.
4. Plagiarism Policy & Originality Threshold
Manuscripts are automatically screened using Turnitin / iThenticate upon submission. The acceptable similarity index is below 10% (excluding bibliography and properly quoted excerpts). Any evidence of plagiarism, ghostwriting, or undisclosed AI-generation will lead to immediate desk rejection under COPE principles.
